Non-endorsable offences only carry a financial penalty and include:
- Driving a vehicle with no MOT
- Failing to comply with traffic regulations e.g. give way sign/road markings, roundabout sign, vehicle priority sign
- Failing to wear a seatbelt
- Parking offences
Endorsable offences carry penalty points in addition to a fine and include:
- Speeding
- Failing to comply with a red light
- Using a mobile phone whilst driving
- Pedestrian crossing offences
- No insurance
