Emily studied Law at BPP University Leeds and obtained her undergraduate LLB Honours Degree in 2019. She completed the Legal Practice Course and graduated with a Masters qualification at Leeds Beckett University in 2021.
Having joined Grahame Stowe Bateson in 2021 as a paralegal, Emily is now a Trainee Solicitor who commenced her training contract in January 2023. She is currently working in the family department and takes instructions on injunctions and applications relating to contact and residence matters.
Emily advises clients when in receipt of reports from CAFCASS and prides herself on providing a realistic but fair potential outcome of their case. Emily has represented clients at Dispute Resolution Appointments and ensures her clients are at ease and coherently understands each stage of the legal process. Emily’s work is currently overseen by her supervisor, and takes on board the support provided by senior colleagues.
Emily builds a very good rapport with clients. She is professional, approachable and has a passion for helping and supporting people when faced with emotionally taxing situations.
In her spare time, Emily enjoys taking her dogs on long country walks and exploring the many English Heritage sites.
