Leeds Solicitor to Take Part in November Will Aid Campaign

October 28 2011

In November Grahame Stowe Bateson Solicitors will take part once again in the annual fundraising campaign, Will Aid. Last year the campaign raised a record £1.5 million for the nine Will Aid charities which help people in need in the UK and around the world.

Will AIdLeeds Law Firm Grahame Stowe Bateson has supported the campaign for the last 13 years and last year raised £4560 for the charities, making them the 5th highest fund raising firm in the North East and 44th in the country.

GSB Solicitors Leeds will donate their skills and time to write basic wills for clients without charging a fee.  The clients are then invited to make a donation to Will Aid.  The suggested minimum donation level is £85 for a basic single Will, £125 for basic mirror Wills and £40 for a codicil.

Since 1988, Will Aid has enabled the legal profession to raise over £9 million for good causes. The Will Aid charities, which include ageUK, NSPCC, British Red Cross and Save the Children, all work with the most vulnerable people in the UK and around the world, so that sum of money will have improved countless lives.

Senior Partner Grahame Stowe commented:  "Making a will is a relatively simple process and can save a great deal of anguish, yet an incredible number of people have nothing in place.

"Will Aid is a terrific opportunity for members of the public to put their affairs in order.  They gain peace of mind by writing their Will whilst helping fund life-changing charity work at the same time."
